You post your work. Someone comments “price?” Another person sends “pls how much” in your DMs. You reply with a figure, and the chat goes quiet. Seen. No response.
Most service providers in Nigeria know this feeling, and many have decided the answer is to hide their prices completely: “DM for price.” Then they spend half their day answering the same question forty times.
Here is the thing about price silence. It rarely means “too expensive”. Often the person was only trying to understand the range. They hadn’t decided anything yet, they had no context for your number, and it was easier to disappear than to say “I’m just checking.”

You can’t control that, but you can lower the awkwardness:
Give a starting point. “Braids from ₦15,000” or “Logo projects start at ₦80,000” filters out people who were never going to book, without scaring away those who would.
Explain what the number covers. The same service can mean two hours or two days of work. When people can see what’s included, the figure feels fair and not random.
Don’t take the silence personally. Some of those people will come back in two weeks, when payday finally comes.
Clear pricing is not about charging less. It simply saves everybody’s time, including yours.
